‘Festival Cry-teria’

We have been very busy trying to plan the best festival possible and have decided that you deserve something a little bit special this year. We have banged heads with two of Northampton’s best craft breweries Boot Town and Three Hills to come up with our very own festival ale. We wanted to make a beer that would be the perfect pairing to a weekend in the sun with your mates, something easy drinking and light that was jam packed full of flavour. With great pleasure, we are able to announce that “Festival Cry-teria”, a Cryo-Citra and Denali Ultra Pale Ale with be exclusively available at the Northampton County Beer Festival 2018!
A low ABV ultra pale full of tropical and citrus fruit flavours from the Denali and brand new Cryo-Citra hops is going to make this a sure festival favourite for us and we hope you can come down and get some for yourself!

Staff Pick

Cloudwater/Jester King

Spirit Animal Loquat Elderflower

4.6% Mixed Fermentation Beer

This low strength mixed fermentation beer was brewed in collaboration between Cloudwater and Jester King in October 2016.

Fermented in FV on saison yeast, before secondary fermentation in an ex-Amarone foudre on Jester King’s house mixed culture, this beer was infused with local, hand picked elderflowers, and Spanish loquats.

Aged for over a year now, the beer drinks with ripe apple, funky and floral notes, pale and refreshing and as the weather warms up a perfect bbq sharing beer. We recommend you pair this with a good meal. Saisons go great with light spicy food as well as ‘Farmhouse meals’. Think char grilled chicken, BBQ sausages, strong cheese, pate, bread and chutney.

Spring Has Arrived!

Thanks to everyone that came down and enjoyed the Cloudwater Tap Takeover last month, we had a wicked weekend, and have certainly seen out their Autumn/Winter range with style! Spring has officially been declared, Cloudwater’s new range heralds the changing season and with it the fresh ingredients they use to brew. We have three of their brand new beers in stock and will follow this new range closely as it grows.
