New month, new beers, things are looking up!

In News

It’s February, right? That means the back of January and not just any January…. 2021’s! So surely cause for at least a small celebration, no?

We’ve spent the last few weeks getting in some great beers, so if you were being really good and not even buying beer during Dry January, then you’re in luck as we more than likely still have some of what you missed out on. But that doesn’t mean we haven’t got any new goodies for you this week, oh no, we have some proper bangers!

Verdant have been absolutely smashing it out of the park both with new beers and favourites since they moved into their new brewhouse and they show no sign of stopping. Eight beers for you this week and we’re really looking forward to 40 Watt Moon, a DIPA’d up version of one of our favourites beers of 2020, 20 Watt Moon! Also new is Don’t Fear The Ferryman a 10.5% Imperial Stout. If that’s a bit much for you (as if?) we also have some Export Stout at just 7.7%. Then we have Maybe One More PSI DIPA, Unconventional Tactics DIPA, Marylou, Neal Gets Things Done, Don’t Tell Gus DIPA.

First DEYA drop of 2021 brings us amongst other things, their first Triple IPA, Routine Bites Hard, packed full of Simcoe & Mosaic. Lovely. Also, we’ve got more Dust My Broom, Magazine Cover and Into The Haze.

New in from Birmingham’s Dig Brew Co are the first beers we’ve had from them and they all about the hops! Full Restore Imperial IPA 9.6%, Max Potion DIPA 8.0%, Teaching Creatures How To Fish IPA 6.8% & How To Cook A Wolf 3: Tokyo Drift IPA 6.8%.
The next instalment of Three Hills Small Steps, In Pursuit, Of Juice range is ready to go, as is their annual nod to Scotland with their Wee Heavy

We’ve picked up some Time Marches On from Norfolk’s Duration. This Bière de Garde is a dry farmhouse beer with floral hop aroma, delicate bitterness, and a light biscuit malt undertone, designed to be drank both young and old for two different experiences. So why not buy two ;)

Last up is a beer that caused quite a bit of a stir on Internet forums last week and sold out at it’s two launch outlets in minutes. We’ve been lucky enough to bag a case, so have a very limited number of bottles are available. The beer in question is Jörmungandr, Laphroaig Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Chocolate & Tonka from the Low Key Barrel Project. Go

And finally, our ongoing opening hours. We've thought long and hard about when we should open during the National Lockdown and have decided to keep it the same as January. This means we'll be out delivering locally every FRIDAY, and open for you to come in and get your Growler fills, shop the fridges or pick up any click & collect orders on FRIDAY & SATURDAY ONLY. We will remain closed for the rest of the week whilst trade is restricted (no drinking in) and we should all be doing our best not to be out and about. National orders will be shipped as per usual.
