Those who follow the brewery closely will be aware that 2020 was supposed to be the year the Polly’s core range finally launched. Some pretty unforeseen global pandemic circumstances put those plans firmly on the back burner, but whilst this launch was on an indefinite hiatus, we certainly weren’t prepared to rest on our laurels, releasing a steady flow of core range trial recipes into the stratosphere throughout the year. Returning to the concept once again ahead of the weather hopefully turning a little better, Mont Brook follows the same blueprint of a beer that is mega smashable, but complex enough to keep people coming back again and again. A simple, reeled back combination of Citra and our newest favourite hop Talus combine in the dry-hop to impart juicy mango and pineapple notes, playing off a ten minute whirlpool addition of Centennial for just enough bitterness to reel things back in.
